Say Goodbye to Varicose and Spider Veins
Do you have varicose or spider veins on your legs that make you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious? If so, know that you don’t have to live with them forever. Sclerotherapy is a safe, minimally-invasive procedure that can dramatically improve the appearance of these veins.
One of our expert providers at Novique Medical Aesthetics will begin by sterilizing the injection site. Then, they will use an extremely fine needle to inject special chemicals directly into your problematic veins. Sclerotherapy utilizes injection of a solution (generally a salt-water solution) directly into the veins.
The chemicals will irritate the lining of the blood vessel, ultimately causing it to collapse and stick together. The blood in the collapsed vessel clots and over time, causes the vessel to turn into scar tissues and eventually disappear.
The Sclerotherapy procedure takes approximately less than an hour. It is important to understand that results are not immediate. Typically, spider veins will respond in three to six weeks and varicose veins respond in three to four months. If the veins respond to the treatment, they will not reappear. However, new veins may appear over time, and if needed, you may return for additional injections.
